I have nine years experience in the digital media industry working for companies including Auckland Transport, Timaru District Council, Saltwater GIRL Magazine, The Edge radio station and The Rock radio station.
This past year I have implemented the social media strategy, policy and guidelines for Auckland Transport and launched their official Facebook page, which earned 20,000 followers in ten months.
I've been actively involved in numerous online campaigns such as Lost In A Box 2 and won NZ Radio Awards for Best Radio Website (The Rock) in 2012 and 2013.
I have a strong desire to constantly learn and improve. I monitor emerging online trends and platforms to keep up with the ever changing environment of digital media.
My combination of creative and digital skills produces work that appeals to the target audience while bringing in desired results for the company itself.

Sam is organised, resourceful, and easy to work with. During her time working on TheRock.net.nz, she has repeatedly sourced and created outstanding content that has successfully driven traffic to the website. She's also excelled at managing projects and deadlines, effectively managing all project members to a successful project delivery.
Working in a sales role where we are constantly aiming to service our clients to the best possible standard can be a tedious job, however Sam has made this role so much easier for me- whenever I need anything for our online pages Sam is always so accommodating and understanding especially when things need to be done at last minute. She is creative, happy to give her recommendations on how to make something work or look better, has excellent time management skills and possesses a can do attitude. She is a total asset to the Rock and has been a huge part of it becoming the successful website that it is today.
Samantha tackled this role with a professional and tenacious work ethic which made her a very valuable asset to the Saltwater GIRL team. She is a consummate professional and she works very well within a team, leading naturally with a quiet dignity and confidence. I have absolutely no doubt that she will excel in whatever career path she chooses to pursue and I would have her back on my team in a heartbeat.
She is very passionate about what she does and truly enjoys her work. She has applied her digital media experience incredibly well in the time I've worked with her, often finding cost-effective, innovative solutions to problems. She has also come up with many ideas for online ad campaigns that have been successful, she always takes the initiative to get things done correctly and to help others.
The website and electronic components that she took over had not been managed quite to their full potential prior to her arrival at Atoll media and it quickly became obvious that Sam’s hard work and knowledge was going to change that. Working with Sam made my role in sales easier as the sharp increase in web traffic and interactivity from our readers became a strong selling point.
